Uelzena eG was founded in 1952 as a cooperative alliance of dairies in Uelzen, Lower Saxony. Today, it is the parent company of the Uelzena Group. At its headquarters in Lüneburg Heath, more than 500 employees develop and produce high-quality dairy products and speciality ingredients – from butter, instant beverages and health products to tailor-made, milk-based or dairy-free dried products.

Hoche Butter GmbH has been part of the Uelzena Group since 1997 and is one of the leading providers of butter, butterfat and milk fat specialities in Germany. The product range was expanded further in 2018 following the acquisition of TRILACTIS GmbH. As a specialised distribution company based in Uelzen, Hoche Butter sells the products manufactured within the Group under various brands.

Altmark-Käserei Uelzena GmbH, based in Bismark (Saxony-Anhalt), was founded in 1991 as a subsidiary of Uelzena eG. Since the commissioning of the modern cheese dairy in 1992 and the addition of a creamery in 1997, the site has been a central production facility for the Uelzena Group. Today, 140 employees work in Bismark and manufacture foil-ripened cheese as well as German premium butter and baker’s butter.

H. Schoppe & Schultz GmbH & Co. KG has been producing instant beverages for decades and it has been part of the Uelzena Group since 2003. At its Ratzeburg site in Schleswig-Holstein, more than 100 employees develop and produce high-quality instant cocoa, chocolate, coffee and tea beverages as well as toppings and coffee creamers. The company is one of the leading providers in Europe and offers products as private label as well as under its established SCHO® brand.

WS Warmsener Spezialitäten GmbH, based in Warmsen, in the Nienburg/Weser district, is a modern milk processor with roots that go back more than a century. About 90 employees produce sweetened condensed milk at this site as well as other milk-based ingredients for the food industry. The company has an international focus and offers an impressive combination of state-of-the-art technology, long-standing expertise and continuous investment in expansion and innovation.

In 2012, Uelzena eG and three other partners from the dairy industry in Neumünster, Schleswig-Holstein, came together to form MTW Milchtrockenwerk Norddeutschland GmbH. Ever since, they have been producing different grades of skimmed milk powder in one of the biggest spray towers in Europe for the international food industry. Distribution is through the Ingredients division of Uelzena eG.

Biohealth International GmbH, based in Münchberg, Bavaria, is part of a strategic joint venture in which Uelzena eG has an
80 % shareholding. As an experienced contract manufacturer, Biohealth has been developing and producing tailor-made nutritional and health food products for the international private label market for more than 20 years.
