We have been developing tailor-made products and ingredients for the international food industry for more than 70 years – as a reliable, innovative and quality-conscious partner.  Our origins are in northern Germany, where we still source our milk: regionally, responsibly and sustainably.

Uelzena eG was founded in 1952, in Uelzen, at the heart of Lüneburg Heath (Lower Saxony), as a cooperative alliance of dairies and dairy farms. Once focused solely on manufacturing milk powder, today the Group has a wide and varied product range.

Specialist in customised product solutions

Today, our portfolio ranges from butter, butterfat and cheese to sweetened condensed milk and milk-based speciality ingredients. We also develop and produce dairy-free dried products, and offer contract drying for sensitive ingredients such as flavourings, natural colours and vitamins. Our strengths: tailor-made solutions for well-known brands and industrial customers worldwide.

Regional roots, international success

Today, the Uelzena Group employs more than 800 people at four sites in northern Germany. Despite our growth, one thing never changes: Our milk continues to be sourced regionally – directly from our cooperative members and selected dairies.

We sell our products internationally, supplying global food manufacturers in the ingredients, confectionery, bakery, delicatessen and beverage industries, as well as companies in the vending sector. We also supply craft enterprises, the catering trade and food retail via specialist wholesalers.
