PROCEDURE AND DOCUMENTS

What is needed for an application at the Uelzena Group?

The complete application requires an informative cover letter, a curriculum vitae in tabular form as well as copies of any school, apprenticeship and work certificates you may have including internship references, proof of practical experience and further education certificates as far as they are relevant to the position you are interested in.

What is involved in the general application procedure?

We know that every application is accompanied with a lot of hope and emotion. Therefore, a transparent process is important to us. Every application is handled according to the following procedure:

After we have received your application, we will immediately send you a confirmation of receipt. For electronically received applications, this will be send by email, otherwise by mail.

In general, we collect all applications received. After a period of two to four weeks, we will decide, together with the respective department, on who we are going to invite for a personal interview. Next, we will contact you and let you know the next steps.

Can I also send in an unsolicited application?

The Uelzena Group is constantly looking for qualified employees. Please visit our job offer page to learn more about current vacancies. If you do not see a job that is right for you, please feel free to send in an unsolicited application. We will include you in the pool of applicants for further open positions.

Can I re-apply?

We would be pleased to receive another application as it shows your keen interest in working in our company. It is also possible for you to apply for several positions at the same time. However, please make sure that your profile complies with the requirements of the open positions.

What is the general application procedure for an apprenticeship?

After we have received your application, we will immediately send you a confirmation of receipt. For electronically received applications, this will be sent by email, otherwise by mail. 

Subsequently, we will come to a preliminary decision together with the respective department. We will then contact you.

If your application has been convincing, we will invite you for a personal interview with an employee from the HR department and an employee from the respective technical field. For some apprenticeships, we conduct an online test with the applicants beforehand. In this test, your existing abilities will be compared to the skills required for the respective apprentice training. It should help in finding the right apprenticeship position for you.

Which documents are required for an application as an apprentice?

For an application as an apprentice, we will only need a covering letter, a curriculum vitae and your school reports.

In the cover letter you should convincingly explain your reasons for applying and your personality. Why do you want to work at the Uelzena Group? Why do you want to be trained in this particular profession? Why are you the right candidate for training?

Your curriculum vitae should be in tabular form and chronological order, no handwriting please. It should contain the following:

  • personal information (we appreciate a picture)
  • education (schools attended to date)
  • experiences and abilities
  • hobbies, interests and voluntary work, if any
  • contact details including email address and phone number

Important: Prior to saving your curriculum vitae as a PDF file, please make sure that it has been signed.

Certificates: Please send in your last two school reports. If at the time of your application you do not have your final certificate, please send it in later. If available, please include references on internships and/or any other references. Important: If you apply by mail, please only send copies of your certificates, not the originals!

When do you need to receive my application/s for an apprenticeship?

In general, the apprentice training starts on 1 August every year. You should send in your application by the end of September of the previous year. For example, for the apprentice training starting on 1 August 2018, the application deadline is 30 September 2017.

What is the general application procedure for an internship?

After we have received your application, we will immediately send you a confirmation of receipt. For electronically received applications, this will be sent by email, otherwise by mail. Next, the respective department will check to see whether it has the capacity for an internship. As soon as a decision has been made, we will contact you and let you know about the next steps.

Which documents should I send in for an internship?

A cover letter to convince us about your reasons for applying and your personality including the following information:

  • What type of internship are you interested in? (Is it the pupil, bachelor, master or voluntary internship?)
  • When do you want to start on the internship and for how long?
  • Which part of the company is of interest to you?

Your  curriculum vitae should be in tabular form and chronological order, no handwriting please. It should contain the following:

  • personal information (we appreciate a picture)
  • education (schools/studies attended/finished to date)
  • experiences and abilities
  • hobbies and interests
  • contact details including email address and phone number

Your certificates. Please only include documents that are relevant:

  • school certificates/work references
  • internship references
  • other meaningful references and certificates (e. g. stays abroad, voluntary work etc.)

Students are also asked to enclose

  • current university enrolment certificate
  • study/course assessments
  • requirements for internship (according to the study regulations), where appropriate

Important: If you apply by mail, please only send copies of your certificates, not the originals!
