The Technical Services and Maintenance department is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of processes in the company  as well as for the setting-up and disassembling of equipment in almost all areas of the company. As soon as a new building or production plant is at the planning stage, we become involved.

Uelzena eG is a highly specialized food company and operates complex technical plants. Many of these were developed especially for specific production processes. The technical service department with its electrical engineering section and mechanical workshop takes care of these plants. Our employees are involved in the planning and construction; they install and commission lines and maintain their functionality.

All-rounders with a broad spectrum of tasks

It is very important to us to do as much work as possible without outside help. Employees striving to further develop personally or technically are supported by further education measures because we want to develop all-rounders.

The working field for our electrical engineering staff comprises traditional electrical work such as the installation of lights and building service engineering as well as network technology and telecommunication. We also plan, install and program the control technology in processing plants.

The main task of our mechanical workshop is to maintain the machines and equipment on regular schedules and to quickly repair them if needed in order to prevent costly downtimes. New constructions and the optimization of existing plants is also part of their tasks. We are also training some employees to become boiler operators for our energy supply plants.

Each day is different

The requirements for our plants are subject to constant technical change. Our team of staff in the electrical and mechanical engineering departments responds to this challenge every day. This is a task that not only requires independence and personal responsibility but also technical expertise and skillful craftsmanship.
